If you want a good box look on my website on the Links page and go to Raptor Box and have a look at their boxs, I find it much easier to buy one than make it plus they are easy to clean and disinfect.

Do you not find that they get a bit foisty in the summer Terry? I tried one and didnt like the sweaty smell that came from it after a days use.

I've not really had that problem K but if your are finding this problem can you not drill some extra ventilation holes in it?
I think if you contacted Paul he might be able to give you more info on how to resolve the problem.
My birds are not in the box for long periods and mainly we are hunting Falcons and they just sit on the cadge with their hoods on whilst out.
Perhaps another Forum member can throw more light on this than I can.

I made my first box today!! But i think i may not have given it enough depth its 19inch, 26inch tall and 18inch wide wich is to wide i know but we all have to start some where!! Anyone think 19inch deep going to be enough for male harris! I think it will be!!

Oh yeah Silicon inside to stop water from getting into the joins or not?? My concering is bird pecking at it!!

Cheers!
