A real long shot everyone. A friend lost a male gyr/peregrine early part of December in the Brighton area wearing telemetry. Actively searched even hiring a helicopter to try and pick up signal. Got a report, a couple of weeks ago that it was seen in the Pullborough area. Any sightings/news would be greatly appreciated. Has IBR

Thanks

I'll also let the local Raptor centre know (that's if they don't alrerady), shame you didn't get it posted up a while ago; we'd have had more chance with the telem.:(
Is it a hunting bird or a 'pleasure' flyer/display bird? At least if it's a hunter, it wont go hungry.

Very much a hunter and def wont be going hungry. The guy who owns him had several other Falconers out searching, doesent have access to the internet unfortunately.

at least it will give us something to look for now; I'll try asking some of the shoots over that way, just in case.

We will keep our eyes open for you, quiet a lot of lost birds turn up down here for some reason. I assume the IBR have been informed they should always be your first call in cases like this.

I've just e-mailed a freind of mine who is very high up on the BHA, he also works in the Horsham area on a landfil site.
Hopefully with his contacts etc, and the fact it's IBR, hopefully something will turn up soon.
