Hi
Ask Ken Hooke of Falconry hoods International....he is "SakerJack" on this forum :) Might be worth asking Ken if he can show you a pic of one fitted on a Gos.... if he gives you a pattern then it will give you an idea of how its meant to fit as well :) Good luck. I think you will have to buy a hood off him though... to get the pattern.

Sacoe Hueso,
That pattern looks like it would work, have you tried to make it, I think you need to bring in the back of the hood so that it will tuck into the back of the birds neck, this is very important.
Do I make sense to you? You have done well the beak opening may need some minor adjusting ,
You can send me a PM and I will try to help you with your pattern..
Good Job!!

Sacoe,
My scanner is down so I cannot show you on the forum, The back needs to have a deeper bend coming from the center of the back to the bottom. It is tough to describe.. The pattern I use is simliar to the Kazakh Eagle pattern that I am sending out but with obvious changes to it..As I said before the back needs to "Tuck" gently into back of the head of either Hawk or eagle..It is getting the right angle that is a little difficult but once you get it you can fit almost any bird.
I have sent you a PM and I will help you make this hood.. this style of hood and the bigger eagle hoods are actually very easy to make and once you know why an angle here or there is important you will find them a breeze to make and fit to your bird..
