Well the day started not bad but due to the rain, it turned sour, but as soon as the rain came, i thought Great......confused....

Well i have my own joinery company, and im in the middle of constructing a decking, due to the rain i had to pack away my tools, but at the same time I thought excellent im off out with the bird,

I decided too go to where i went yesterday as the weather yesterday was about 500m visability, due to the fog, but today you could see for miles, for those who roughly know the area, in the north i could see Dundee, too the east i could see St Andrews, the south, Hills, and too the west, tree covered hills.
Me, and my daughter went for a 8 mile walk, with the HH right behind us.
it was just brilliant, some cracking soars from the wee man. At the moment I am just concentrating on him building up confidence. I take out about half an ounce of rabbit with me chopped up into small pieces. Yesterday everytime i called him he was given a reward, so obviously very responsive, Some good 100m or so flights, Today i decided to only give him rewards on intermitent calls, and today was just brilliant. To be able too just raise the fist and not even say anything and he flew too the fist. Great. it puts a smile on my face just thinking about it.
Whilst out we had a few oooohhhhh moments, He came in real hard on a phesant but unfortunately he hit it from the wrong side of the chicken wire fence which had been over grown with hedge, the next was a 150m flight wings tucked in, straight into a group of blackbirds in another hedge, and the final one was again a good 150m flight into a barn full of cows, to chase a load of pigeons, but i think that there where so many of them he just didnt know which one to go for, plus hes nowhere near fit for those bleeders, but all in all a great day,
The only thing is now im thinking of what i need to do to catch up on my work load. I only had a weeks holiday think that i could catch up before i start a large order of 636 doors, but its slipping away, Saturday looks like a working day. Sorry the pics not upto somepeoples super duper camera standards but its from the phone.... 9134

I decided too go to where i went yesterday as the weather yesterday was about 500m visibility, due to the fog,

You were lucky you could see that far yesterday m8, Edinburgh & the bottom end of Fife you were struggling to see 30m at some points, the fog was unbelievable.

he is a handsome looking bird, sounds like he is coming along nicely, i know fist hand its a tough juggling act when it comes to work and falconry but if you can give him at least 3 outings a week he will give you a lot of enjoyment.
keep up the good work
