i think ppl should be more conscerned.about the cost of human life more than birds
if we ever have a out break over here.
its scarey especaily being a parent.birds can allways be replaced.
at some point.

I was told over the weekend, that the kids that tragically died in Turkey were playing catch with infected dead chickens!!!!!! they also ate not properly cooked infected chickens............................as tragic as it is, the parents shouldn't have allowed the youngsters to play with the corpses etc. (whether infected or not!!! but I guess that is a cultural thing!!!!!!)

whether they was playing with the dead chicken or not .the facts is the virus
was still pressent there and probably would of spread one way or another.
if not direct to humans but to other birds and so on.

You'd be suprised what 'entertainment' some of the not so wealthy get up to!!

I have a couple of freinds that are Turkish but they live in Istanbul, I keep in touch with, and some of the stories they sometimes come out with regarding 'their lower classes'..................................

If it hits here which it will do then poultry farmers workers etc are in the front line.
However if it mutates that's the problem, and so far it has not.

Now go out and fly your bird!

Agreed JB, a lot of the Asian countries, virtually 'live' with their chickens etc. so these are the people who are more than likely to contract these diseases etc.
