A rabbit at last

Finally broke my drought today. With it being dark nights I only get an hour and a hslf each day through the week to fly my birds. Therefore, I can only fly locally around the fields that surround the house. This week I have had some good flights but had not caught anything, misfortune had laid its hand upon me, my dog and my hawk. However, fortune was on our side tonight. At first I thought it was going to be the same as previous days, see a few get a couple of flights only to watch the ******s get away. Anyway flushed four rabbits from different bramble patches but they made it home. I was walking back to the house and I cast seeker into a tree, I then stoped at the edge of the field that backs onto the house and to the right side of the tree. I sent Charlie through the fence to work some high clumps of lumpy ground in the field, I worked him over to the left of me about 15 yards away and he got a scent I let him do his stuff then out jumped bugsy a couple of yards in front of him. Seeker stooped out of the tree and came in from behined and gripped it just before it made cover. I despatched the rab I called Charlie over and give him loads of good boys and good lads. It was certainly a friday 13th for the rab. I think were in for a good weekend with the hawks I got a good feeling about this one.

Charlie is looking in top nick, credit to you Joe, the brambles and the wet, dont half put a shine on their coat when they dry, was out today as well, it was ferret 1 and hawk 0 .
