View Full Version : HH behaviour, its a serious prob?
Hi peeps, I just put together my FHH with a friends MHH and I am shaking from fear.... The FHH wanna scare the male, I mean she open her wings and scuffle on the perch, I hope its not a big prob anyway I keep my eyes on them.... Should I remove the male or its not serious?

have you free lofted them together or are they bowed out a few feet apart ??? if free lofted this should not be done if both at hunting weight as you will end up with 1 fat female if you know what i mean be carefull
I think now its no probs, both of them are pig fat!

my fhh allways knocks my male about especialy coming into breeding season.
allso acts very aggresive towards him.hunching up and charging him.
but when time for actualy breeding she calms down .
but as soon as hes finnished treadding her. she chases him around the aviary.
your should be ok. but with them being a new pair you should keep an eye on them.
may be best as some as allready said bow them out together.
so as to get used to each over company.

Did you just put the male in to the females chamber?? Birds are teretorial. The safest way is to put the two birds in to a chamber that neither has been in for a longish time, less chance of one trying to chase the other out before the desire to reproduce sets in.
yet they r just sitting close to each other and thats all. A guy who breed my male told me just keep eye on 'em, and feed 'em till they are pig fat.

my hen bird gets a bit funny when paired up, theres a bit of "argy bargy" but the males know to keep out of the way initially. if they are settled down now odds are they are gonna be ok
There was a nest buildt half way in their chambler(they do the job.) Than since a week its dissapeared and next day there is a nother shaped nest again, on the next morning there is no nest again.... I donno what is this mean, but I think the male build the nest(I hope I am right...), than the female destroy it coz its not enough good lookin 4 her........
Any ideas?
