Just drove past a large white/pale falcon in the cleveland area. Saker or Gyr possibly (Im not great on falcons)
Redcar / Marske area.

Whereabouts exactly please? I have had a Pale Tiercel Gyr x Barbary out for some weeks now - lost in NE area with no reported sightings since day one? He was wearing transmitter, Bell and flying Jesses

Thanks
Bernie

It was near the skelton/saltburn/redcar roundabout yesterday afternoon. Big pale / white falcon.
It definitely wasn't a wild peregrine.

There was a bird found at Hartlepool on the 14th on the IBR website.

I've been in touch with IBR about this found bird and Babs advises that she now believes this to be a Pere x Saker so if anyone wants more information about it - contact IBR. It sounds doubtful from the description that the Falcon in Cleveland and this found bird are one and the same?
