I had a similar problem & someone recommended "Carpet Gripper" you can get it on ebay quite cheaply. Just fix it on top your fences or aviary.

Exactly what I thought, I presume it would arrive flat pack & you have to build it yourself, so the roofing should be easy to sort out.
