Default Aggressive barn owl.

I have a barn owl and he's become aggressive towards me. I personally hand reared him and he imprinted on me. I moved away to university so my family care for him but I am home for the holidays and he won't let me go near him no matter what I do. He just lets me put food on his perch. I have not yet flew him and I am still learning. Any advice would be brilliant. Please help me as he means a lot to me and it really upsets me when I can't get near him.

Hi Becky,

Even leaving a hand raised owl for a few days or a weeks holiday will usually result in a sulky bird, with time I am sure it would renew the bond.

Has it bonded with anyone else in your family?

That's a shame, I'm trying to get him to come to me any chance I have. My mother said he's nice to her but since I've been home she hasn't gone up to see him once so I don't know what to say.
