Saw the first Harris being walked at Sharkham and also realised all the Swallows have gone ...

Still got a few house martins around but the main flock left three weeks ago

Still got martins, there's still a nest on the house with young to fledge. Swallows had a late clutch this year, three for some pairs the last ones fledged on Friday so there's a few about still but most left in the week.

Makes you fear for the young fledging so late and the temperature starting to drop

Yeah I do worry for them. I've raised a late clutch of swallows before, not easy but satisfying when they fledge.
