Default Captive barn owl egg laying

Hi can anyone tell me if a captive barn owl needs to mate to lay eggs or can they lay and non fertile eggs without the male

Much like poultry, a male is not needed for the production of eggs. Lone females of many species, kept alone in aviaries, will lay.
