Question [Question] About training imprint corvids

I want to train a hooded crow. I lost my first one - she scared away beacuse of a noise from my neighbor's garden.
This time, I want to train them starting on a leash until they're young, and skittish. Is it a correct idea? Going to the city with it daily, and start the recall training on leash at different places. And not immediately free around its voiler, like most people do.
Is it possible to keep them forever, with a good realtionship, and weight management? I don't want to lose another one.
I will read every answer, but I cannot write back, I'm not a member of the forum yet.

Default Re: [Question] About training imprint corvids

Just hand rear and they will naturally follow you and come for food.I never used weight control with mine,it just learnt its surroundings and would get back home from good distances.Mine would follow us a good few miles to school then I would be asked by the headmaster to take my bird home.Which was always a good plan to get out of lessons for an hour or so.He would bang on the windows and disrupt lessons, lol.
