I was not allowed to get one of those, so I got a Brit instead.

A fine deep chest and noble looking animal there Chris. The muscle is coming on nicely.

Smile pleased as punch

Very happy with him Lee. he has taken to the whistle and hand commands very well. dont want todo too much with him at this stage but to the whistle he stops at distance now ( i mean hundreds of yards too ) sits and returns instantly. Not started turning yet but hes a sharp pin. also now at distance he is responding to silent signals including sit, stay and down plus return.

Have been tempted to start taking him back to gundog classes but didnt feel i was either of us were getting much out of the last lot we did so stopped going.

On the retrieve side he is fetching from most distance and direction but still a little reluctant to give up his collection so im conciuos of this and not doind too much at the mo.

On a negative, because he lives outside and we live in a rural area he rarely see's other peeps or dogs and when he does control goes out of the window and he turns into a deaf zebadee!!! Perhaps another round of classes for social reasons may be the answer. Or another dog! but Carol would cut me danglies of if i did

chris i find with douglas his focus is way better when we are out alone... when out in the field with perry or any other dogs he soon diverts to being an idiot
But he is still a puppy i know
