Looks like you had a great day out mate, Shaun is a top bloke he certainly helped me out many years ago when I was having a few issues with my hawk.
He is always keen to help and pass on his experience which sadly is quite rare amongst us falconers as we are by and large a secret lot
Well done Shaun your still looking as fit as you always were😉
I've still got the same Harris and he just gets better each season 👍
Hope you and yours are all well?

Kind regards
Simon.

yes it was an enjoyable day and i'm was pleased he got to see a classic duck hawking flight ,Katy is pretty dependable to deliver the goods, as long as you can find the slip ,that was her #36 for duck this season

the small phone video he has catches the noise of impact which was like a cricket ball on willow

hes a polite lad with a level head on his shoulders and now hes had a reality check on general husbandry and the difficulties in hunting with falcons which can only be a good thing in this day age of rush out and buy and repent at leisure

Hey Simon great to hear you've still got the Harris ,they just get better and better with time,I've just got mine out as they had a late double clutch with a new female ( Judy died egg bound) put victor on the bow yesterday when we got back he'd fed himself with a passing garden bird on the lawn ,you can see the remains behind him ,he still wanted more dinner though !

Hi Shaun,
Sorry I know this is off topic (sorry Seb for hijacking your thread) but where do you source your day old Turkey chicks from? I'm sure this would be of interest to others too.
Thanks (and sorry again).

Try via the Cheshire hawking club, my supplier doesn't take on any more customers
