Default Help in High Peak, Derbyshire

Hi, I think it is a lot to ask for a mentor from a person I don't know. I just wondered if there is anyone local to me who I could chat to or go out with a few times. I have ground of my own. Just advice and some experience in Derbyshire would be appreciated. I've hunted for years with rifles and had several days with BOP I've also read books on subject. Any offers of help would be welcome. I have every intention of getting a harris hawk, however I have read so many horror stories of people jumping in and buying a bird would rather take my time and do it correctly.

The last line of that post is the most important, take your time, don't rush in and then when your ready get the bird.
Also, its now the wrong time of year to go out hunting, most birds will be down for the Moult and not flying again to around September. Keep looking for someone though, ad if your lucky they may be getting a new bird this year, then you can see the training process, and maybe help out.
