lots of dogs here

problem solved simply putting the bath bowl next to the bird in front of tv at night

dogs drink a lot and the bird learn to ignore them in no time, always under our supervision

(no fret marks here too)

The noise your hearing isn't screaming as such. It's basically telling the dog to get lost. Personally I put it down to a distress call and I personally would not let my hawk see the dog. It could slow the moult down or cause fret marks or even pinched feathers but unlikely the latter. I can't see what's to be gained from letting the bird see the dog up in weight. Appart from the hawk being terrified everytime the dog is in view. It could make your hawk hate dogs more rather than get used to them.
Moult in seclusion and show the hawk what the dog is for when the bird is reclaimed. When the dog is flushing plenty of game it won't take long for the hawk and dog to click.

Too many cooks spoil the broth!!!
