Its a traditional method, the eyes are gradually opened over a period of time, as you say, a hood can do the same job, imo sealing is barbaric but thats for another thread

I have nothing against it if its how its done there I guess that is just there method.

Dear Zig and other my Friends,
thank you for share your comments ,
My friend is no a falconer or trapper.
they use strings to trap the woodcock and the
gos were trapped when she chase a hen.
so the string is for that.
unfortunately I could not afford to buy her
to release but I am sure she would be released.
about my spar, I will release her because I believe
in rules of falconry.
