I'm happy to hear that your moult has gone well, nice set of feathers on her for the season. Looking forward to hearing about your hunting with her soon.

Regards,

Bradley

Thanks y'all I'm guessing end of August beginning of September I'll start doing recalls and lure work I'm going to work on getting her on crows and feather a bit this year out the car for days when it's too cold for her to fly since I lost a month and a half to the cold last season.

I want certain I was going to update on my up coming season on here as it's very dead on here and it seems if it's not a goshawk thread it don't draw as much attention.

But we have been flying for over a month and Rogue picked up right where we left off. Weather has been rather warm or raining so far so I been doing one kill outings for the most part. Well other than one outing anyways.
Most of her fights have been off the glove in some of my thinner fields. With two been out of a tree which neither were muggins as I flushed both from cover and they were full speed by the time she caught up and made them look easy.
I started her off this season at 2lbs 1oz and now will be bringing her up her last kill she was 2lbs 2oz and I'll let her tell me how high she will go.

Good to see you back! Rogue is looking good in her new clothes

Noticed anything different in the way she is hunting this year compared to last?

Hi Shane
About the only thing I've noticed so far this year from last is she is not playing with them. Last year she would chase them and let some go on purpose this year she don't care what kinda cover they are trying to get into she is going in after them. One had a 20yard head start and dived into a cedar bush she plowed right in after rolling him up. In the little over a month of flying she has half the kills she had last season. I haven't noticed it yet with Rogue but have on past second season birds is typically they will refuse certain slips if they feel they can wait for a better one. Which makes it seem like their missing more but in reality they were still missing it last season just not wasting energy on it this season. I'm not certain I'll see that this year with Rogue.
