Default Rogue 2016 female Harris hawk

Well I drove 5 hours one way on Saturday the 9th
To pick her up she is well equipped. When I got her home and unhooded her she stood well on the scales 2lbs 2.25 or 34.25oz.
Today she was down to 31.85oz and I offered her red steak she ignored it so I got out a fresh sparrow and she gobbled it down plus one doc. she's back up to 33.50oz. in no hurry so the weight going up is not a issue.

She is 13 weeks and bunnies and ducks will be here main quarry. And price in USA vary really bad some people try to charge as high as they can just because people will pay it. But average is 600$-750 high end 8-900.

Cheers mate.

How do you intend to hunt the ducks.
Do you think she she will have sucsess on them?

We tend to take harris slightly older than 13.
Is 13 the usual age for pulling a young hawk.

My male was 22 weeks.
He was slightly wilder than the norn but had a fantastic attitude once manned.

I'll fly her off the fist on ducks in ditches and run up and flush them she will take them on the rise or as they fall back into the ditch. Most breeders hold on to them until 16weeks. I've taking them up from 10-20 and it made no difference in out come. All my birds are kept in my living room with my family dog TV and everything else.

I gave some away one died from bone infection another west Nile one flew into a glass door chasing a rabbit broke her neck. Others I sold and got different birds. I seldom keep birds for more than a couple seasons.
