Had a lengthy discussion about this at the weekend and my mind has been made up but my decision I'm keeping to my self for now
What I want to know is what most other practicing falconers prefer as the method of choice for fitting bells to their hawks Bewits or a tail mount Answers on a post card peeps Atb |

If am fitting a tail sheith to a bird then tail mount and sometimes i tail mount falcons but i mainly make bewits and put them on the legs

Always use tailmount, have not had any problems yet (touch wood). Mainly as I feel that they have enough on their legs already

Bells on the legs with button bewits. Nothing on the tail.
