Hi, if the hawk is trained and near flying condition when lost and particularly if an eyass with not too much experience then the chance of getting that hawk back is good, they go gos fast so keep on searching in ever increasing circles favouring down wind if it's not fit. do all the usual, high point glassing for mobs or stooping Kestrels ,even spa's will get upset.
postmen are good informers, offer a reward . Have a few tricks up you sleeve when you do spot it,if you don't know how to wind a bird up find out.
Sorry if I'm teaching my granny to such eggs , hope you hear bells soon.

So sorry to hear this, good because at least you can conclude this but unfortunately not the circumstances anyone hoped for. Hats off to you for trying hard to look, any idea how the bird died?

Condolences,

Bradley

That's exactly what I mean, had some pretty nasty weather here the last few days, I don't know about you.

The hawk would not have died of the cold.

Was it entered?
