Have to agree with RenÚ there are far too many people and a lot of them are stupid. You only need to drive along the M6 and you'll see a lot of them sat in the fast lane intensive farming maybe a part of the problem but this is a side affect of too many people. 50yrs ago there was around 2.5billion people on the planet and today there are 7.5 billion. The places I saw skylarks as a kid have all been built on, either houses, factories, offices or retail parks.

I'm more thinking RSPB and wildlife crime more to the point. They try and make anything stick to form a prosecution. Just thought I would say.

Were the 6 in the same area? If so could of been a pair and their young. I knew where loads of spars nested years ago and a pair of long eared owls. All gone now due to factories, warehouses, houses, pubs and schools. There was a heronry as well which and has gone.

Yeah all while we were in hide waiting for pigeon..

I saw a dew last nite whilst walking through local cemetery. They were calling and flying tree to tree
