I've been following Springwatch from the start this year, there's been an amazing feature of Birds of Prey on there this year. The Golden Eagle nest has been amazing along with the Sparrowhawk and Little Owl nest, great coverage. Looking forward to the part about the Gyrfalcon, should be a great watch.

Regards,

Bradley

It's funny you mention that Donna, I kept telling my parents that they were getting it wrong. They didn't beileve me even though I explained to them the origin of the word. I've always said it right and I'm proud to say that! It was a great episode and the best one ever, in my opinion, but I'm biased. I particularly like the part where the Gyrfalcon and Peregrine went head-to-head. The Falconer on there was great, explained everything and exhibited well.

Best Wishes,

Bradley

I too am a massive fan of Springwatch. Also loving the footage of the Eagles, great opportunity for viewers of what I expect is rare footage to see. I always thought the Gyr was faster in level flight due to it's preffered hunting method? The was that Peregrine used the hedge row for cover and then popped out was brilliant!

I watched this last night on 'BBCiplayer' & it was marvelous..!! I think they did a really good job & spent quite a bit of time on the falcons. Some great photography too.....& I had no idea about the wild Gyr from Greenland, that landed & 'wintered' up north recently..wonderful
