Sell the bird to the highest bidder (after vetting of same) and give the money to a worthy charity.

Being somewhat cynical, I would suspect the reason is; some people (obviously not the finder or Terry) are half hoping to obtain a free or inexpensive redtail that has been living in the wild for some time. Before any more people make suggestions for rehoming this bird, it should be remembered that the finder is legally and morally entitled to recompense for the costs of keeping the bird . It is possible that this cost exceeds the value of the bird and again it should be remembered that all channels were explored to find the owner.
For the benefit of the conspiracy theorists, I will add that I know none of the people involved and have no interest in obtaining this or any other hawk.
