Default Wild Spar

Hi all , we had a pair of spars nest at the end of the garden ( which is wild with large trees ) they are left well alone and we can't see the nest .

Today I have come home from work and found one of the parents ( not sure if male or female ) killed in the road

Will the other cope on its own or is there anything I can do to help ?

E.g with food . I shoot air guns so can provide fresh food if it will take it ,but it does have a few buzzards to compete with .

Hoping for advice
Alex

How do you know the dead bird is one of the pair in your garden?

You have best intentions at heart but the male if it was the male provides most of the food so I doubt very much if the female will sit on her eggs without food being provided.

Thanks , I feared the worse , as to how I know , I don't but the dead one was just on the lane in front of the house . Gutted doesn't even come close , but it's life I suppose .
