Default "Wench" 2009 Imprint Female Goshawk

Today i drove up to Falco Ireland county wicklow to collect my hawk for 2009, she was hatched on the 31st of may from a cliff bramhauld bred female, flown in the past by john fairclough and kev sharrat, and a male called "vinny" bred by glynn thompson and flown by kenny smith.
Both hawks have hunted successfully in the field and are a good size, these are the attributes that made me choose an eyass from this pairing.
Myself and ross who came along for the day were given a guided tour of the breeding programme there, a new block of aviaries recently completed and a wide selection of quality raptors , we were impressed with what we saw.
Thanks to kenny smith for looking after us for the day i hope i can do the hawk some justice, my first female goshawk.
A couple of photos of the eyass.

The female

And finally the male "vinny"
