I am hoping it was not "really" lost and the falconer was in the area and recovered it but I will post this as a separate thread as well just in case.

Dave
This is our falcon, i have responded on the other thread with this:

Hi everyone, this is for defenetly our falcon, I hanreared it and know it by heart, it is a pure gyrfalcon from canadian and american bloodlines breed by us.
Thanks to all of you who have been trying to get hold of me. The question is, were do i go from here?
It is obvious someone has kept this bird for a while and put the blue jessies on it.
It is an offence to keep a gyrfalcon without close rings now, so if the rings are removed the bird is iligal for the person who keeps it, if the rings are still there we can easely prove its ours as we have both registration documents and A-10 for this falcon, if necessary we can also prove by DNA that this falcon belons to us as well as its parents.
I have wrote to the owner of that forum and literally BEGGED him to help me to get hold of the person who now keep this falcon, we will not start to involve police etc. until we receive a reply from him as we just want our bird back, we also offer a SUBSTATIONAL reward for anyone who bring this bird back to us.....

Thank you for posting this link to us odnata

Not my bird but definitely looks like a Gyr X Peregrine to me as well.
Those Jesses have not been oiled for some time look at the way they hang so it is possible that the bird was tail mounted and either moulted the mount out or it has a tail mount but has dislodged the Transmitter could also have been leg mounted and lost it as well.
Hope whoever lost him is able to recover him
Terry
