(not sure if its plastic?? and if theres any particular reason jim uses the material??)

after detailed evaluation comparing the structure and composite requirements against other materials that could be used in tailsheath manufacture , jim decided on using this particular component in the design primarily because of its availability and two other very very important product features .................

its cheap as chips and does the job .

Tim,
DPC is used because it forms a strong shape once folded and it doesn't split over a seasons use.

Can't argue with simple perfection of those requiste co-polymer plastics.
