Default Other barn owl sizes and weights?

I would be really interested in finding out what weights other barn owls are weighing in at, from anyone on the forum?
Just a question for my interest, to see what varying sizes your birds are?
Thank you.
Nick

Hello Nick . My female Barn Owl who is quite experienced in terms of flying in a variety of locations , would behave reasonably well around 11 oz . On home ground , she can fly at at up to 12oz but would probably be awkward to retrieve if spooked - she is fat but un-flyable at about 14+ oz . As I expect you know , there will be a fairly wide range of healthy weights within the species . The lightest healthy flying weight I have heard of was about 9oz - but this would be far too low for most ! I'd like to hear of other examples .
Best wishes , David .

That is really interesting thank you for this information. I would be interested to see if any other barn owl owners or keepers reply too as I am keen to know some more variations.
Thanks much appreciated.

Hi Nick100, my female is coming up to about 13wks old and currently responds well at 280g. She has dropped response weight from 300g.
This is my firs BOP so i assume its her age/puppy fat that has caused this flying weight reduction!!
Do u or anyone else know if thats right?

Meant 15wks not 13. numbers on keypad too close together lol
