PMSL Chris, Moorhens often lead to trouble! Spike once caught one on a floating Duck Raft behind the biggest wall of Bramble you have ever seen, It was either wade or swim right across the Lake which would have been easier if it had not been January, or cut my way through the wall with my lock knife, after 25 minutes getting cut too Ribbons I still had to wade in up to my waist to a very fat Goshawk. I was not happy that day as we were on a field meet on good ground and my day was over

Me & a friend cooked up the breasts with breakfast after one mornings hawking. Not bad actually, though not worth a boating trip....

A friend used to save them up and his partner would use them in pate' my wife fried them or used the skined meat in mixed game pie . tonight we've had duck (, I shot on Saturday)in pastry with a stuffing top.

Had a day out on Exmoor yesterday. Had some great flights. Ended up with a pheasant and a partridge

It looks cracking country where you fly Chris.
Well done on the flights.
