Waitied around 2 minutes and out came one that went straight out the edge of the wood and Bob hit it perfectly on the head and stopped it in its tracks. Didnt get to see how is recall was today.

Hoping the wind will be lighter tomorrow as today it was ridiculously strong but thanks to a few trees and a hedge we got some lea out of it.

TY chaps, taking things nice n easy with him at the minute as he is quite low weightwise, could be doing without the sodding gale force winds at present, just nice being able to get back out amongst it. Each day getting the bird, dog m ferrets all home safely is all I am looking for chuck in a kill or 2 and nowt but big smiles.

Worst day out with Bob, spent the first 10 minutes spinning on the glove and baiting. finally got him settled and managed to bolt a couple of rabbit but he barely put in an effort on them, then finally a 3rd bolted which he hit 2 times the second as soon as he was kicked off he didnt regain the chase so stopped then. Some of his behaviour seems to say he needs weight off but feeling his keel he is much sharper than I would like so going to spend the next week building him up and no hunting till he has a bit more muscle on him . He was 672g today.

Sadly I have had to put Bob away as he started chucking out feathers as his weight went up and so far he has chucked out 2 pairs of secondaries, 2 pairs of primaries and 4 tail feathers. Will let him moult out over the summer and see where we are but I think he will be flown by a friend initially as I am having a new male from Ian Trotter.
